Happy New Years to all! I thought I'd take this opportunity to reflect on this past year!
This past May marked a major milestone in my life, as I graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration. While I am very thankful to have completed that chapter, I do find myself missing the rigorous, structured, and repeatable schedules that university provides!
Professionally, this year was one of significant growth and refinement. While I have been working with the team at Palitto Consulting for nearly five years, I have been in my current full-time role for the past two. Although I appreciated the variety presented by balancing with university coursework with work, it has been beneficial to be able to focus all of my efforts towards my full-time role. This additional focus has helped me to be able to think more strategically about my clients and dedicate more intentional time to servicing their needs.
I have been somewhat up in the air regarding how I'd like to continue my education moving forward. While I have had the itch to continue my studies at the graduate level, I am currently choosing to focus my time and energy on serving my clients. Over the past several months, I’ve completed my CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Sophos Technician Firewall certifications to continue strengthening my technical skill set This flexible learning structure allows me to dynamically allocate time between continued learning and client work, depending on where the need is greatest. I plan to continue working through additional certification programs into 2026.
Looking ahead, I am super excited to head into 2026 with a continued focus on serving my clients to the best of my ability! That commitment includes intentionally expanding my technical knowledge to ensure I can meet their needs effectively and reliably.
